RAFTERY ON LOCAL RADIO
The streets of Leeds were considerably emptier than usual on the afternoon of Monday 16th December as thousands were glued to their radios listening to Raftery the Poet being interviewed by Liz Rhodes about his acclaimed new collection - SMART BOY WANTED now available in PHILIP HOWARD BOOKS - (Roundhay); OAKWOOD CLOCK BOOKS -(Oakwood, Leeds) and BORDERS (Leeds). In a lively and amusing interview Raftery explained the background to his writing and read from his publication. Afterwards the switchboard was jammed with callers all hoping to win a copy of 'Smart Boy Wanted' in a competition.
